About this tool

What This Checker Does — and Doesn't — Tell You

This tool applies the commonly published general SSC CGL age band (18–32) and standard category-wise age relaxation (OBC +3, SC/ST +5, plus an additional allowance if you mark a PwD certificate). Some CGL posts use a narrower band — 18–27 or 18–30 — instead of the general 18–32, and this checker doesn't have a verified figure for every individual post, so it deliberately doesn't guess. Your post category selection is used only to flag whether that category typically requires the DEST typing test, not to compute a more precise age cutoff.

This is meant to help you plan which notifications are worth reading closely — it is not a substitute for the official notification. See What Is SSC CGL? for the full picture, or SSC CGL Eligibility for more detail.
